Aropec Youth 2.5mm Spring Suit Wetsuit
Aropec Youth 2.5mm Neon Yellow Spring Suit is an all-purpose springy designed with kids in mind, that is to say, they’re built tough. The combination of super stretch neoprene, smooth-skin panels and flatlock seams ticks all the important boxes – the result is a durable wetsuit with enough flexibility for swimming and surfing. The smooth-skin coated torso panel is the best defence against wind chill and by placing it around their torso/organs it works to maintain core body temperatures. Smooth-skin is a rubbery coat that can’t hold water (hydrophobic) which means it dries in a flash, wind only speeds up the drying process!
The big tick on durability comes from the flatlock seams which are the most durable seam in kids surfing wetsuits. Flatlock stitching creates pin-holes in the neoprene itself which allows water and air to move through, at a very slow rate. This adds versatility because the breathable seam allows them to play in the surf as well as the sand, without overheating. If you’re looking for a similar suit designed for cold-water conditions we recommend looking at the thermally-lined and sealed-seam Adreno Kids Springy.
The Aropec Youth 2.5mm Neon Yellow Spring Suit is one of our favourite Kids Spring Suits in that it’s ready for anything, be it surfing, swimming or diving. All of this versatility comes at a price but the glory results from the low cost and high value-for-money.

Aropec Youth 2.5mm Neon Yellow Spring Suit Features:
- 2.5mm Neoprene: Ideal thickness for winter pool-swimming and ocean use on Australia’s East Coast during the transitional seasons and summer. In the thick of winter we strongly advise a Kid’s Steamer.
- Flatlock Seams: The most durable seam in wetsuit construction and is breathable, making it great for kids who are in and out of the water. Check out our rundown on seams.
- Back Zip: The standard wetsuit zip and is easier to get on and off than the superior chest-zip. Get more info on zips.
- Smooth-Skin Coated Torso: A dense elastomer is glued to the torso panels to help eliminate wind chill. Coated neoprene such as this is hydrophobic – meaning it repels water.
